I'm looking for place indoor or outdoor where can i practice my shooting skills / shotgun or hunting gun?

I do have shotgun , I need some prctice , do you know any place in New York area ?I'm looking for place indoor or outdoor where can i practice my shooting skills / shotgun or hunting gun?
You can practice your rifle skills indoors with an air rifle. The sight picture, breath and trigger control are the same as with your hunting rifles..I'm not talking about a daisy BB gun or a cheap piece of junk pellet gun, I'm talking about an adult precision air rifle...I use a West German built, Feinwerkbau 124D, the accuracy of this rifle is quite good...A .177 pellet is pretty small and I'm not all that great a shot but on good days at 10 meters I can place 10 shots in one ragged hole. Even at 40 meters 1/2 inch groups are not uncommon...

You can buy a nice air rifle for around $150 or you can spend several thousand for one with Olympic type accuracy...You might check out the RWS 34 they are well made, accurate and powerful all for around $230...If you do buy an air rifle, either buy a ';combo'; package or make absolutely sure you buy an air rifle scope. Spring piston air rifles are very hard on scopes and a scope not designed for air rifles will soon be ruined...

RWS Superpoint pellets are my favorite...You may want to try several different ';quality'; pellets to see which functions best in your rifle...Pellets are relatively cheap and a pellet trap to practice indoors will cost less than $20...

Indoor practice with a scattergun? Maybe for a defensive weapon, but it won't help if you're shooting skeet.
Look on the NRA website, they have a list of all the ranges in the US.
There's another option you could look into. They make a type of ';snap-cap'; dummy round that emits a red light burst when the hammer strikes the firing pin and connects to the dummy round. This is great for indoor practice. You could have a friend wave a flashlight beam on the wall, practice tracking and firing with no cost in ammo and no safety risk of a negligent discharge. Granted you don't have the feeling of recoil, but it will improve your trigger control and get you used to leading a target. Just remember, in the tighter quarters, the beam (which would simulate a clay target) would need to move faster than outside. 5 foot away moves faster than 50 foot, etc. Good luck
Is there a Fraternal Order of Police {FOP} lodge near you if there is and they have a shooting range you could join the Fraternal Order of Police Associates {FOPA}. The cost here for a year's nembership is $15.00.
Some hunting/sportsmens clubs offer sight in days you may want to check your yellow pages for any sportsmens clubs in your area.
