How come hunting items like shotguns or rifles cant be veiwed online? I tried big5 ect.?

I've often asked this myself, and the best answer I can come up with is the fact that you cannot purchase them directly through the website, so why bother posting them there? Your best bet would be to call the stores locally and speak to a sales representative in the sporting goods department - it may not be as convienient, but it will still save you the time of driving between them.How come hunting items like shotguns or rifles cant be veiwed online? You can see them on line on any manufactures web site.
On chain stores, some stores won't carry guns and can't sell them. In order to have guns shipped to you, you need a Federal Firearms License and some places that sell guns require you to have an FFL before you can purchase them. Manufaturers have a list on there web stites but the prices are retail prices.
