i already have when hes at the train station on the train and when he leaves pencey. Anymore ideas??? im stumped. Ive been looking all over the internet and read the book and can't remember anymore. It's like a comfort blanket for him. Whenever he is uncomfortable, like after Stradlater leaves after they fight, he puts it on. He always kind of uses it to assert his realness, i guess you could say. He always talks about how people are phonies and he wears it backward because it doesn't matter what other people think of him When does holden caulfield put on his hunting hat? When does he take it off?
i love Holden!!! He's so cute! Especially when he describes Jane.


Um, i think he puts it on when he's at his house visiting his little sister, and then gives it to her.
